ABOUT your doula

From a young age, I knew that a traditional 9-to-5 job behind a desk wasn't the right fit for me. I was determined to find a career that would allow me to make a meaningful impact, one that would support others and allow me to create new opportunities for myself and families. Unsure of what that path would look like, I explored various options.
In 2016, shortly after graduating high school and turning 18, I decided to take a leap of faith. I enrolled in a DONA International Doula training program, investing my time and resources into a profession I believed would align with my values. That decision marked the beginning of my career, and looking back, it has been one of the greatest blessings of my life.
Over the next three years, I worked as a childless doula in Jacksonville, providing support to families both in and out of the hospital. During this time, I attended 68 births, and my passion for supporting mothers and families deepened with every experience. In 2019, I became a mother myself, which further fueled my dedication to birth work. Through my own journey with childbirth, I developed a profound interest in autonomous birth, breastfeeding, and natural motherhood, which in turn enriched my practice. Becoming a mother gave me the clarity to find my authentic voice and embrace my true self, which has only enhanced my ability to serve others. As my career grew, I expanded my offerings to include placenta services, free support groups for pregnant and postpartum mothers, and in-home birth preparation sessions, and much more. In 2022, I gave birth to my second daughter, and my work reached its busiest season yet. As of 2024, I have attended almost 200 births—all different in many ways.
My mission has always been to provide as much knowledge and support as possible to my community. I continue to be amazed by the incredible journey that this career has brought me, as it has connected me with inspiring families and led me to a fulfilling, meaningful path. Supporting women during one of the most vulnerable and transformative times in their lives is an incredible honor. The families I work with allow me into their lives, and I am forever grateful to be a part of their stories. My goal is to offer unconditional support from pregnancy to birth and beyond. Each day in this field is a reminder of the miracles I am privileged to witness, and the joy I find in my work never fades.

MEET YOUR PLACENTA SPECIALIST

After graduating from nursing school in 2018 at Florida State College at Jacksonville, I was fortunate to earn my Registered Nursing license in 2019, marking the beginning of a deeply rewarding journey in healthcare. My career initially took me into the hospital setting, where I had the privilege of providing compassionate care to patients in critical and fast-paced environments. It was here that I began to fully understand the power of a holistic, patient-centered approach to healing, and I made it my mission to support individuals in a way that honors both their physical and emotional well-being.

In 2020, I found myself drawn more and more to women’s health, particularly the transformative experience of childbirth. As I witnessed the beauty and strength inherent in natural birth, my passion for supporting families through this life-changing experience grew exponentially. This led me to explore placenta encapsulation, which I began offering in 2020, as well as pursuing a role as a birth assistant. I also became actively involved in leading pregnancy support groups at the Modern Midwives office, where I am able to share knowledge, offer encouragement, and create a safe space for expectant families.

Throughout my journey, I have been deeply moved by the resilience, strength, and love that define the birth experience. It has been an honor to serve the birth community in so many meaningful ways, and I approach each family I work with through the lens of love, empathy, and intention. My goal as a birth worker is not just to provide support, but to walk alongside each family with respect and care, honoring their unique journey and helping them feel empowered every step of the way.

I am truly grateful for the opportunity to be part of such a profound and sacred process, and I strive to create a calm and nurturing environment where families can feel supported, informed, and deeply cared for as they bring new life into the world.

Our goal

At the heart of our work as birth workers is a deep commitment to supporting families with care, respect, and understanding throughout their birth journey. We recognize that every birth experience is unique, and we strive to create a safe, nurturing space where families feel heard, empowered, and respected.

Our goal is to provide unwavering support, whether in the form of emotional reassurance, physical comfort, or educational guidance. We believe in a holistic, patient-centered approach that honors the individual needs and preferences of each family, while promoting a sense of calm and trust in the birthing process.

We are here to help you navigate the joys and challenges of pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period with intention, compassion, and dedication. We honor the strength of every parent and support the importance of informed choices, ensuring that families are equipped with the knowledge and resources they need to make empowered decisions that align with their values.

As birth workers, our mission is to walk beside you every step of the way, offering support tailored to your specific needs. We are not only here to assist with the logistics of birth but to be a steady presence of care and understanding in one of life’s most transformative moments.

Our ultimate goal is to ensure that each family we serve feels supported, confident, and empowered, so they can approach their birth experience with peace of mind and heart.
