ABOUT your doula
Olivia is a Jax Beach local who has been in birth work since 2017, serving women in our community as a birth doula and placenta encapsulator. She is trained through DONA international and the Brilliant Birth Academy. She has always had a passion for all things related to autonomous birth and natural mothering, and found her calling at the young age of 18! Since then she has attended births both in and out of hospitals all around Jacksonville. It wasn't until the birth of her first daughter that she fell in love with home birth. After experiencing a beautiful natural birth, but with some twists and turns (feel free to read that birth story here!), she had gained more wisdom she wanted to share with others. She then went on to have her second daughter at home the way she had always dreamed. Therefore, she has become a home birth advocate empowering families one by one to feel confident and safe in their birthing decisions. In 2021, she saw the need for more women centered care. So she decided to collaborate with a local midwife collective and started to offer free pregnancy and postpartum support groups. Olivia understood that not all families have access to doula care during pregnancy, so she wanted to find a way to support families locally that really needed it the most. Continuity of care and seeing the mother as a whole is crucial for the wellbeing of the family. Olivia fell in love with her work and felt she was really making a difference in her community, but she did not want to stop there! In 2022, Olivia decided to become a trained Cranial Sacral Therapist to be able to support her clients in yet another holistic and whole hearted way. Since diving fully into holistic health, learning the ins and outs of autonomous and undisturbed birthing, and supporting families beyond 6 weeks of care, she has seen incredible outcomes for birthing families everywhere. Olivia's goal is to make sure every family she comes in contact with feels supported and loved during every step on their journey, from conception throughout motherhood.
